Running a small business in a niche market, I needed to be convinced how marketing would produce extra sales. Thankfully Barbryn persevered and five years later we now have an established brand that is recognised by 4,000 customers in 40 countries – not bad for a small niche business!

Cape International is a leading supplier of Austin Healey classic parts and accessories worldwide. The company started life as The Midland Austin Healey Centre, a small firm specialising in rare and second hand parts. As it expanded substantially, supplying parts abroad and opening a new workshop to restore classic Healeys, it changed its name to Cape International and wanted to position itself as a young and energetic company with a real passion for Austin Healeys.

Barbryn’s creative team designed an eye-catching corporate identity for Cape International which incorporated the instantly recognisable Austin Healey wings which enthusiasts are so proud of.

The striking red and black give the company a powerful image which really stands out, while the strapline, ‘Keeping the Legend Alive’, plays on the nostalgia and passion which Austin Healeys evoke.

Having created the corporate identity, Barbryn designed The Cape Collection, a glossy catalogue which sets out all of Cape’s products in a clear, at-a-glance format. Since then, a series of trade adverts, display graphics, feature articles for international classic car publications and a customer ezine have all been designed by Barbryn, along with an updated Cape website.

During the five years which Barbryn has been working with Cape, sales have grown and grown and Cape classic parts are now sold in 40 countries worldwide. The company is recognised as ‘the Healey industry’s good ideas department’ with innovative new products continuously receiving high acclaim amongst enthusiasts.
